David Schnitzer, CCIM, LEED AP is a licensed broker and REALTOR(R) with ASCEND Commercial Real Estate based in Dallas, Texas. Schnitzer specializes in retail and restaurant representation, land and investment sales in Texas and Oklahoma.

Before starting ASCEND, Schnitzer was a senior vice president with two retail real estate firms in Dallas. Before commercial real estate, his career was in marketing and advertising, representing global, national, and statewide accounts with multi-million-dollar budgets.

Schnitzer handles retail tenant representation for clients including Banfield Pet Hospitals, G6 Hospitality/Motel 6, Primrose Schools, BluePearl Veterinary Centers, Ethan Allen, WoodSpring Suites Hotels, Confie Insurance Group/Freeway Insurance, Bestway Rentals, Habitat for Humanity, Thomasville / Furniture Brands concepts, Stereo East and Famous Famiglia Pizzeria concepts as well as other national and regional retailers.

Schnitzer was the 2023 CCIM Institute Global President, representing CCIM Designees across the globe. He also served as the 2012 and 2013 North Texas Chapter President, and as President of CCIM Technologies.

He is a multi-year “Power Broker” by D CEO Magazine, named a “Heavy Hitter” by the Dallas Business Journal, is an RPAC Major Investor and President’s Circle member, and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, where he was on the Texas ICSC planning committee from 2015-2020 and the North Texas Commercial Association of REALTORS(R), where he serves on their Board of Directors.
